I am a doctoral researcher in the Data Science Group at Heidelberg University. My research applies retrieval augmented generation to specialised domains — among others legal documents and biomedical literature — with a focus on proactive dialogue systems, terminology drafting, and exploratory search over large corpora.
I completed my bachelor’s degree in 2014 at Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University in India and then joined HSBC Technology in Pune as a Software Engineer, building applications in the banking domain. After three and a half years in industry I left as a Senior Software Engineer and started a Master’s in Applied Computer Science at SRH Hochschule Heidelberg in 2018, working alongside my studies as a working student at SAP SE. Having finished my Master’s in April 2020, I worked as an Academic Researcher at SRH Hochschule Heidelberg until January 2023, teaching Master students about sequence data, text mining, natural language processing, machine learning operations, and data management.
I joined the Data Science Group as an external doctoral researcher in March 2021 and have been a full-time doctoral researcher here since February 2023.
